Information used here is from the Dominion Bureau of Statistics. Preliminary figures for 1955 were received at press time and these showed there were 242 driveins in operation in 1955 and they took in $5,749,623 in receipts from 11,521,134 admissions on which the amusement tax amounted to $600,565.
