Text recognition is never 100% accurate. Many parts of the scanned page may not be reflected in the OCR text output, including: images, page layout, certain fonts or handwriting.

Who's Who on the Screen ALAN CROSLAND Alan Crosland, following his graduation from Dartmouth College, turned his attention to literary work. He became a writer on the New York Globe, also doing many short stories for the magazines. His stage career started with Annie Russell, with whom he played for some time. There followed engagements with the Pathe and Edison companies and for the last five years he has given his attention to the direction of motion pictures, starting with the Edison Company for whom he directed "The Unbeliever" and "Kidnapped." For Famous Players he did "The Whirlpool" and under his present contract with Selznick he has directed such successes as "The Country Cousin," "Greater than Fame'' and "Glorious South." 366
