FOUR MEN STAKE ALL 7 were made with many, among them Giovanni Martinelli, Marion Talley, Mischa Elman, Efram Zimbalist, Harold Bauer, Anna Case. They were not at all anxious to sing. There were difficulties, of course; but in those first days the difficulties were fortunately not with the artists. Most opera singers and concert instrumentalists were thoroughly used to recording for the phonograph and to singing over the radio.
