Aber es passiert nicht alle Tage, daß sich ein Star mit lautem „Wauwau" ankündigt. Togo, der Wunderhund, der vor kurzem hier in einem großen Variete auftrat, hat das so gemacht. Er ist ein ausgezeichneter Rechcn— so erstaunlich das ist — Er hat seine Arbeit bei uns im Redaktionszimmer genau so exakt verrichtet wie auf der Bühne des Wintergartens. Ganz ohne Trick und Apparat, denn er war allein mit uns. während sein Herr und Gebieter draußen auf und ab wanderte. Wir haben ihm fünf Aufgaben gestellt, und er hat sie ohne Fehler gelöst, sah uns dabei an, als ob er sagen wollte: ,,Nun müßt ihr mir aber für diese Sondervorstellung auch ein Honorar künstler.
