It seems to me that all of us do well to analyze such films carefully, no matter how amusing, no matter how entertaining they may be on the surface. It seems to me that all of us will do well to remember the heart-breaking Dawn Patrol, the overtone of Journey's End, to see again All Quiet on the Western Front. It seems to me that all of us do well to demand uncensored newsreels. Much of the censorship of newsreels in this country is a voluntary censorship by the releasing companies, and is done because of a thoughtful reluctance to shock audiences.
