Warners announced that they would distribute their own films in this country, through the Vitagraph organisation, when the Gaumont contract expired in September, 1926. Glasgow magistrates decided to take no further action in regard to the establishment of a local Censorship. At the L.C.C. meeting on February 2, the report of the Music Hall and Theatre Committee, which recommended increased powers under the Cinematograph Act and legislation on block-booking and the standard of films, was accepted. First National joined the K.R.S. The President of the Board of Trade announced that he had no money with which to finance a Central Studio.
