Hall The Ten Best and the Maxim Memorial Award Movie Makers proudly presents for 1953 the twentyfourth annual selection by the Amateur Cinema League of the Ten Best Amateur Films of the Year and the seventeenth annual Hiram Percy Maxim Memorial Award. The Maxim Memorial, which stands in the League's headquarters, was established in 1937 by Percy Maxim Lee, FACL. daughter of the Founder President of the Amateur Cinema League. On it each year there is engraved the name of the Maxim Memorial Award winner; and to that winner goes a sum of one hundred dollars and a miniature silvered replica of the Memorial itself.
