494 MOVING PICTURE WORLD December 18, 1926 United Artists Pla Educational n Reported To Be Negotiating (Continued from page 493) siderable Educational interests in other parts of the country. The Educational studios, equi))ment and grounds arc valued conservatively, according to our informant, at about $450,000. Of this Educational Exchanges, Incorporated does not actually own a dollar's worth, we are told. The property is in the name of the Educational Studio Corporation and this, it is said, is composed of such individual units as those known as Jack White Mermaid Comedies, Lloyd Hamilton Comedies, Lupino Lane Comedies, Tuxedo Comedies and Juvenile Comedies and Cameo Comedies. Until July 1, of last year, these units which release their product through Educational Exchanges Incorporated, rented space, in the majority of instances, m studios all over Hollywood. They got together on the date mentioned and formed che corporation among themselves which they named Educational Studios Corporation, out of deference to the title of their distribution center. The total of the short product of these combined units set for 1926-27 release through Educational Exchanges Incorporated reaches seventytwo two-reelers and twenty-four single reelers. This total includes the contribution from the Chriscie Studios several miles away from the site of the Educational Studios Corporation. As our informant sees it the only chance of any deal between a feature producer and Educational Exchanges Incorporated, would be -an interchange of stock, a releasing agreement and good will in writing.
