The entries numbered more than ten thousand. The contest began September I, 1915 ; concluded February 29, 1916. It was conducted under the sole auspices of Photoplay Magazine and The World Film Corporation. The Judges were Miss Lillian Russell, Miss Kitty Kelly, Miss Sophie Irene Loeb, and Messers. William A. Brady, Arthur H. Spiegel and Julian Johnson. The story of the winners of this contest begins on page 65.
