Everything goes back to the old, homely logic of 50 years ago; good sound common sense that built many of our great American businesses of today. My father used the same principles of merchandising to build this laundry business as I am using today. The difference lies not in methods, but in mediums. Back in 1932, I put The Kalamazoo Laundry Company on the air for the first time. My reason for doing it would shock many a modern advertising expert clear out of his upholstered swivel chair. So prepare yourself. For mine was not a hifalutin' reason, but just a common ordinary hunch, tied up, of course, with a friendly gesture.
