She was modeling teen age fashions at the time. For two years she underwent intensive dramatic training to prepare for her first break in pictures. Then, Paramount bought up her contract and cast her as Barbara Stanwyck's young sister in "Double Indemnity." The first rushes, unfortunately, revealed that Mona photographed like a girl of 12!
