SHOWMEN'S TRADE REVIEW, November 12, 1949 E-19 Compact Coin Changer In production and available for immediate delivery, this new and highly compact coin-changer has only five keys, and measures only 12 by 8V2 by 6 1/2 inches. The penny key, with a plastic cap of lighter color, is the center of the five. The other four keys are arranged in order of value from left to right: 5, 10, 25 and 50 cents. The fact that there are only five keys, and that their order is so obvious and easy to learn, minimizes possibilities of error. Device is known as Handee, and is a product of Coinometer Corporation. It carries a factory guarantee for two years. (#6) Aerosol Wax • , Maintenance of surfaces is said to be jTt^ " greatly simplified by use of this "house hold" wax on wood, linoleum and other waxable surfaces because it is applied by simple spraying. The principle is the same as in the case of aerosol insecticides— pressure, put into the can at the factory, produces a spray when the valve is released. The seal, however, is hermetic, according to Bostwick Laboratories, the manufacturers, who state that no spontaneous evaporation or drying of the contents of the can will take place even over a period of years. The manufacturers further assert that the wax coating applied to surfaces by this spray will not chip, peel, gum up or water-spot; and that neither rubbing nor polishing is necessary. For metal-enamel surfaces, as often used in modern lobbies and entrance-ways, the same company offers a companion product called Bostwick Automobile Spray Wax, which has a Carnauba base, and is wiped lightly to dryness after being sprayed on. Both the choice of ingredients in these compounds, and their packaging in pressure cans, operate to effect material reduction in the labor cost of maintaining large areas of surface. (#7) Television and Studio Equipment Television and studio equipment, including 35-mm. projection and sound apparatus — a total of about 1,600 items altogether — can be found listed at prices said to be 25-40 per cent below the market, in this new catalog just issued by S.O.S. Cinema Supply Corp. The catalog is coded "Sturelab 8A." It covers 88 pages. Two hundred of the 1,600 items listed are illustrated. Equipment is grouped into sections according to its nature, while a convenient cross-index facilitates finding any item. New, used, and rebuilt apparatus items are included in this quasi-encyclopedia of technical aids. (#8) S.O.S, Cinema SupplfCotp. «Oa WIST 52nd STRKt, NIW YORK 19, N. T. Woitt 7,(W40 W..i..f. Sound systems, oil burners, flashers, public address systems, air conditioning equipment, and many other appliances indispensable to the theatre use relays, some of which wear out from time to time while others could be replaced to advantage, in some instance, by better types. Complete specifications and prices on relays of many different kinds are contained in this Catalog D-20A, just issued by Ward Leonard Electric Company. Midget and Heavy Duty, Magnetic and Motor Driven, Time Delay and Thermal relays are among the types listed and described in this catalog.
