McCarthy, eastern Sales Manager of Universal, and told him that the only way they could ever get "Imitation of Life" out of their theatre was to burn the theatre down. It is now in its fourth week, going into the fifth. It opened originally at the Rivoli and moved into the Palace where it has had an amazing run. "Imitation of Life" is also completing its fourth week and going into its fifth at the Alhambra in Cleveland, after having played its first run at the Palace.
