It also is under the same week a year ago. Lack of new pix and the large number of extended- runs also is hurting. Of the two new bills this round, “She-Wolf” is shaping okay at $ 6 ,- 000 or near at United Artists but “Earrings of Madame De” is only fair at small El Rey. Holdovers are mostly light al- though “White Christmas” still is in the chips with $19,500 in two theatres for sixth round as is fifth week of "Barefoot Contessa,” with a neat $7,000 at the small Fine Arts.
