These credits, like those in earlier editions, were gathered and prepared by the tireless Gerald Pratley, who might be described as Canada’s only inter¬ nationally recognized authority on the
film. Pratley prepares the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s programs on films and film music, and he reviews new books on the film for The Telegram, Toronto, as well as contributing to the Hollywood Quarterly and other maga¬ zines. He arranged for the many re¬ corded interviews with leading produ¬ cers, directors, musicians and others in the United States and Britain on the
