Ernest Ouimet of Montreal and Fred G. Spencer of Saint John, NB were honored as pre-1910 pioneers who had done the most to advance the motion p'cture as a popular form of entertainment in its early days. Spencer passed on shortly before the banquet and Schuberg and Ganetakos have died since.
