San Francisco, April 25.—A new stock star season opened here yesterday at the Alcazar, each star or pair of stars to play four weeks, Florence Reed and Malcolm Williams were the first, opening In "Bought and Paid For," to be followed by "The Master in the Bouse," "The Yellow Ticket" and "Gay Lord Quel." The company includes: Marlon Dentler, Helene Sullivan, Elizabeth Ross, James Gleason, William Webster, Henry Hall, John Sumner and Joseph McCauley. Addison Pitt Is stags manager. "TIT FOR TAT." This sketch, which was presented at Lew barker's benefit, April 16, at the Grand Opera House, Brooklyn, was written by J. Francis Kirk, stage director of the Grand Opera House stock during the past season. The sketch proved to be a clever little farce. The players who appeared in it were Fay Baker, Edw. Fitzgerald and Mr. Kirk, and the work of each won the approval of the audience.
