"The Perils of Divorce" Is a good feature In sev- eral respects. The cast Is excellent, each Indi- vidual scoring personally and the ensemble effect i» satisfactory In every particular. A wealthy man's home for once, at least, resem- bles the real thing on the screen, and the story Is unfolded easily and naturally. The feature pos- sesses marked cumulative interest, and holds the at- tention from beginning to end. Then there are several little atmospheric troches which greatly enhance the general tone of the action. Director August. In the latter rotation, la entitled to a word of praise for the nun u rr ta which the Chinatown scenes are staged. Vlatj convince because they are not overdrawn. REMARKS "It Happened to Honolulu" ta not good Screen entertainment by any means. The story Is trite, the plot mechanical, and the expedients nsed of the most obvious and stereotyped nature. There is somethig about a rich man's son who wants to marry on heiress, but the Rlrl'9 mother says nix. Mother is strong for a title in the family, and ar- ranges to take daughter away to Honotata, to order to further her plana whereby daughter can be married off to BTnglirth nobleman. Having seen several English noblemen at their very worst the character as impersonated by Bar- tram GrasSby, is a little hard on the spedea. Mr. Grassby's Idea of a nobleman seems to be a mono- cle, a vacant stare, and. In general, a wooden ex- pression, which makes pan appear to be acting all the time "BUI i" wcisdriMJci iiouJaQeFo*, Dramatto Editor oi tb» New Y«xEk warn «o the Publlcfvy*3aTts=tOT«rt ttw Patri ot fOm Corpor ation, a low -w i wr mir ajtB ago, aftor thai parTcrrmance art the X.YE3ETJHI THEATRE: "'Ban H*ve ratm BfboufMB different plavsthia Winter, trut, Try all that's goofl^ndlioly i not-one ol tftana ao fasetVMvt mo or^roaTnottasfimotional tiirlil tiiat toiaalld I" Mr. TfdFfta had Jmt *»*m tint Wandarful 'sVtTTtira P lclur e t^bbsoti To JVrnarrtca, tbo Omelal British Films, made under direction oT Chftfles TJiTram,Tru» xntty civilian allowed to take photographs'on Admiral Mcwfe Great Horn Sn fleet MoUon Matere*, -whloh are the Talk til T?ew York, and from wlilch iituitlreda are -Iwk&g tumod away at every presratatlon.
