December 20, 1916 THE NEW YORK CLIPPER 87 GILBERT GOES OVER U Wolfe Gilbert, playing a few weeks on the Mom time, opened at the Jefferson last Monday, and in a rather difficult posi- tion almost walked away with the bill. Wolfe was on exactly thirty-five minutes singing his own compositions, and at the finish was forced to make a brief speech. MOHR LANDS Halsey Mohr, now appearing in vaude- ville with Gladys Moffatt, seems to have landed solid with his latest song called "They're Wearing 'em Higher In Ha wait" Shapiro, Bernstein & C>., hia publishers, are working on it for a huge success. FEIST SONGS IN HELD SHOW Leo Feist has a number of successful songs in the new Anna Held production, "Follow Me," now at the'Casino. Among the best sre "There's a Little Bit of Monkey In Us All" and "What Do Ton Want to Make Those Byes At Me For?' Both are sung by Henry Lewis, who has made a great personal hit in the new pro- duction. GOOD STASNY SONGS A. J. Stasny, who has just returned from a trip to the coast, has met with much success, largely due to the fact that he has at present a catalogue which fairly bristles with good selling songs. The leaders are "Storyland," "There's a Buraah Girl A-Calling," "Auf Wiedersehn But not Good Bye," "We're In Love With the Same Sweet Girl" and "I Found Yon Among the Rosea." Mr. Stasny has re- cently established branch offices in Boston, Philadelphia, Chicago and Pittsburg, where both trade and professionals' wants are cared for.
