OPTICAL LANTERNS, ETC. Transformers With the advent of alternating current in nearly all districts the use of Transformers with electric Projection Lamps is becoming more and more prevalent, inasmuch as considerable saving of current is effected, and the use of a 100-volt lamp on high-voltage current is very greatly facihtated. The instruments listed on this page are suitable for use with our standard Lamp Outfits and Apparatus fitted with such Lamps, in place of Resistances, which, of course, must still be used where the current happens to be direct. The following instruments are suitable for use on any alternating current from 200 to 250 volts, they being provided with tappings which allow them to be adjusted as may be required.
