A competition for members’ own films was recently held and proved a great success, the dark room, titling rack, studio, and theatre being continually occupied by members making up the best they could. The society is now short of specialists, the chief make-up man having joined London Film Productions, while the still man has left the district. It is hoped that some of the new members will be able to take on these jobs. Tt will be remembered that at the beginning of the season, arrangements were made for novices to do all the work of the society under the eye of the “‘ old hands ’’; this has proved so successful that it will be continued, so should anyone in the district wish to try their hand at production work, even if they have no camera, they will have an opportunity of doing so by joining the society. Meeting nights are Tuesdays and Thursdays. Tuesday is always a projection evening, while arrangements have been made to visit other societies in the London district. Blackheath F.C. Hon. Sec.: Mrs. B. Vale, 72, Hervey Road, Blackheath, $.E.23. The club's gala week was held from Oct. sth to roth.
