DISNEY DEAL WITH UNITED ARTISTS INCLUDES 4TH STRIES OF PICTURES
Walt Disney's distribution contract with United Artists does not expire until Disney has delivered to the company his final picture of the 4th series of Mickey Mouse and Silly Symphony films, none of which have yet been made. For release in the United States, for example, United Artists has yet to receive from Disney 22 subjects.
Commenting on the premature announcement that Disney had signed a new agreement with R.K.O., Arthur W. Kelly, vice-president in charge of U.A.'s foreign sales said: ‘Until Disney has delivered his final picture to United Artists, no other company may distribute his product. United Artists, however, will continue to distribute all the Disney pictures now in release including the 3rd and 4th series. On the basis of past production, it is doubtful whether Disney will Beever to us the last film of the 4th series much before February, i937 .'
Note: Please send in to the Home Office covies of any tradepaper announcements of the deal with Disney released by R.K.O. in your territory. Also copies of your announcement advising exhibitors of the true facts in the case,
