BEST BROADCASTS OF 1938-39 was made Librarian of Congress in June, 1939. Prior to that he had been Curator of the Nieman Foundation at Harvard University, one of the editors of Fortune magazine. Professor at Princeton University, a lawyer. Throughout his Hfe he has been a poet, and as such he is today one of the great talents of this generation. He was awarded the Pulitzer Prize for poetry in 1935. If his new work in Washington prevents further output, it will be a disastrous loss to contemporary literature.
