Mich.. wiU open its annual fair Sept. 12 and will continue three days. This fair is a growing organisa- tion aud has great prospects In the near fn- lure. it is in the midst of a lumber section of Micliigan, which Is yet to be deTeloped. ■The Jasper County Fair. Newton, 111., opens Sept. 11. and will last four days. There will lie sereral trotting races with purses ranging from S«0 to J300. Monona County Fair Association, Orawa, Iowa, is looking forward with interest to the opening of Its fair in Soptemlier. Being not far from Sioux City, those in charge of the attractions expect to get the l>est that come In the direc- tion of the town. A great horsemen's meet will be the feature of the West Point Agricultural Society Fair, which holds forth at West Point. Iowa. Sep- tember 26 to 28. Besides tbe big harness races there will be good baseball and a number of running matches. Tlic Washington Oonnty Agricultural Society, which holds a three days' fair at West Bend. Wis., Sept. 18-30. wIU offer some valuable priz's to its agricultural winners. There will lie many out-of-doors sports to attract the attention of pleasure-seekers. The Mankato Fair and Blue Earth County As- sociation will hold a fair at Mankato, Minn., this September. Full arrangements have not been made but It is expected that the attrac- tions will be the best ever held in that section of the countcy. The Carroll-Gallatln-Owen-Trl-coanty Fair As- sociation, holds its annual fair at Sanders. Ky.. Sept. 8, 7, 8 ana !». This is one of the best attended fairs of its I;ind and every season large tiumt>ers of choice cattle and other live stock are exhibited. The Piainfleld Township Fais Association, PIninfieia. Ills., arc planning to have the big- gest fair in its history this year. They have no iiorse racing and sell ver^ few concessions, still ther have made a success for the past six years. .Arrangements for the New England Fair, w<bich will be held at Worcester. Mass.. on September 4-7. are progressing finely and with favorable weather conditions, promises to be tbe biggest fair In the history of the society. The Knox County Fair, Knoxville, 111., which win be held Aug. 29-Sept. 1, expect to have one of the largest fairs In its history. They have done away with free attractions and would like to bear from a good vaudeville show. Tbe Allen County Fair. lola, Kan., Is. build- Inc new exhibition buildings and horse stalls.
