46. In the summer of 1931, Grant joined the St, Louis Repertoire Company where he had the lead in twelve operettas. That Fall, he returned to Broaduay for "HikJdL* with Fay 7/ray and Kent Douglass. ,7ith the close of this show, Grant set forth on a tranp automobile trip to Hollywood. He was preparing to drive back when he met executives at the Paramount studios and took a screen test. He signed a contract two weeks later. Grant is six feet, one inch tail, weighs 172 pounds and has black wavy hair and dark brown eyes.
