Bruno, an acrobatic bear, is the circus headliner until Bugs joins his trapeze act. Jealous Bruno decides he must liquidate his partner and attempts to fly through the hare with the greatest of ease. He is no match for fearless Bugs Bunny, and only succeeds in blowing his Big Top. In Technicolor. Drip Along Daffy (Merrie Melody) Warner Bros. 7 Mins. Very good. A clever take-off on westerns, crammed with laughs and rip-snorting action. Drip Along Datly Duck and Porky Pig come to the wild, wicked town of Rattlesnake Gulch. Their efforts to restore law and order entangle them with the local villain, Nasty Canasta. At the end, Porky is installed as sheriff and Drip Along literally cleans up the town—with a white uniform and shovel. In Technicolor. A Laugh a Day Warner Bros. (Featurette) 20 Mins. Very good. The famous stars of yesteryear who cavorted in early Mack Sennett comedies are featured in selected scenes from their silent films. Among the great comics of that era shown are Charlie Murray, Louise Fazenda, Bobby Vernon, Ben Turpin, Heinie Conklin and Billy Bevan. The slapstick antics, “save my child’ routines, and giddy chases of the Keystone cops should delight the youngsters and bring nostalgic chuckles to old-timers. Lincoln in the White House (Technicolor Special) Warner Bros. Re-release 20 Mins. Excellent. This interesting, historical film, a reissue, opens with Abraham Lincoln taking office as President. It highlights some of the events that occurred during his administration, notably the Civil War and his clashes with the cabinet members, Lincoln's delivery of the Gettysburg address makes a moving and dramatic finale. The role of the President's young son is played by Dickie Moore, while the Great Emancipator is realistically and eloquently rortrayed by Frank McGlynn sr., who starred in John Drinkwater's play, “Abraham Lincoln." Warner Bros, are giving this patriotic short a special promotional campaign. Sleepy Time Possum (Merrie Melodies) Warner Bros. 7 Mins. _ Good. Possum jr. is out on a limb in this amusing Technicolor cartoon —hanging by his tail and sleeping all day. Disguised in a hunting dog costume, Pa Possum sets out to frighten his de-activated son into doing the chores.
