Ml) Ic; i ;■ ^ 1.S ‘b lit i BOARD IN BUSY SESSION 'J L 4 d i JOO . . :) The Board of Directors of the National Association of Broadcasters spent two busy days in Washington this week formulating a definite pro¬ gram to be followed in the solution of many important questions conf rent¬ ing the industry. Seventeen of the nineteen officers and directors of the Association attended the sessions, which were presided over by President Alfred J. McCosker, Those present were: Treasurer Church, Craney, Gedge, Hedges, Bellows, Lyons, Damm, Cowles, Flamm, Buckwalter, Carpenter, Kay, Ward, Caldwell (proxy for Ryan), Russell (proxy for McClelland) and Guider (proxy for Tyson). Vice President Fitzpatrick was unable to attend be¬ cause of the sudden illness of his mother and Vice President Shepard was absent because of an important business engagement. The sessions were the busiest ever held by the Board of the Associ¬ ation, Each of the important issues before the industry was taken up in turn, debated at length, and definite action taken thereon. The Board decided upon a definite course of action in connection with the copyright. North American conference, and other important matters and agreed upon ways and means for carrying its program into execution.
