Gittinger, 62, former CBS vp, died July 26 at Southold, Long Island. He had retired four years ago, but had continued to serve network in consultant capacity. Mr. Gittinger joined CBS in 1934 as director of sales development and was named vp in charge of sales in 1940. Ten years later, he became vp of CBS Inc. and special assistant to president. • Roger O.
