The loop responds only to the radiated magnetic field. It is unaffected by weather or ice conditions. Sensitivity is adjusted by rotating the loop on pivot bearings. Seventy ohm sampling line enters the loop through the bottom pivot. Full insulation permits sampling without the use of an isolation filter on simple arrays and low impedance towers.
