KDIX-TV DICKINSON, NORTH DAKOTA Channel 2 went on the air October 1, 1956, joining KDIX Radio which began broadcasting early in 1947. Transmitting facilities atop Golden Butte make the antenna North Dakota's highest point — 3,556 feet. Operating with 26,000 watts of power, KDIX-TV reaches a vast market rich in farming, ranching, oil, uranium, coal and water power. KDIX-TV is a CBS affiliate and serves its audience through many notable activities. The latest is PROJECT 60, an adult education college course being presented in conjunction with the Dickinson State Teachers College.
