L.A. date change
A change in date, from Oct. 5 to Oct. 10, was announced last week for the FCC's programming inquiry in Los Angeles, Calif. As originally scheduled (Broadcasting, July 25), the hearing will be held at 10 a.m. in the courtroom of the U.S. Court of Appeals. Ninth Circuit, 312 N. Spring St.. Los Angeles. Chief Hearing E.xaminer James D. Cunningham will preside at the hearing. Commission counsel will include Ashbrook Bryant, chief of the Network Study Staff, and assistant chief James Tierney. A number of Hollywood tv film producers are expected to face the scrutiny of the commission in this third phase of a programming investigation begun in February 1959. Other hearings were held in New York and Washington.
