A total of 823 radio and 85 tv stations of AP's 2,042 broadcast members responded to the questionnaire, according to William G. Garry, WBBMTV Chicago, chairman of APRTA's general news subcommittee. Other data culled from the survey: 28% of the radio and 29% of the tv stations reported their daily scheduling does not include a single 15-minute newscast; on Sunday, the number of stations with no 15-minute newscasts jumped to 42% for radio and 51% for tv; 49% of the radio stations said they scheduled between 11 and 20 newscasts on weekdays, while 19% scheduled 10 or fewer and 14% reported 21 to 25 daily newscasts.
