S. corporation. .Additional showrooms in other cities are anticipated and many of the F&B products will be made available to dealers throughout the provinces. y Bell & Howell and Technicolor Increase First-Half Earnings T> Two companies active in the audio-visual field reported higher earnings and sales for the first half of 1963. The Bell & Howell Company, noting that first-half sales were up 14 percent over last year, reported a 10 percent increase in net earnings for the second quarter. These amounted to SI. 03 1.000. Earnings of Technicolor. Inc. for the first six months of 1963 were nearly double those of the like period in 1962. Chairman Patrick Frawley noted that the Motion Picture Division continued to make important contributions to the gains. Frawley further stated that the newly-formed Commercial and Educational Branch in the company's Consumer Products Division should help, noting that the company expects to show a profit in this division in 1964. Inc. The businesses to be sold include the manufacture of Conley endless loop magnetic tape cartridges, Weather high-fidelity components and the basic TelePrompTer brand products, sold as individual units and as part of sophisticated largescreen display systems for use in broadcasting, industry, government and education. Manufacturing activities are at Cherry Hill. New Jersey and sales offices are in New York City. H. J. Schafly. Ohio with J. Herbert Orr Enterprises of Opelika. Alabama, combines the talents and facilities of two wellknown innovators in the field of magnetic tape. Inventor and pioneer Bernard Cousino. a developer of continuous-play tape cartridges, holds five L'. S. patents which are basic in the manufacture and operation of most endless loop cartridge type tape recorders. John Herbert Orr is a specialist in the development of precision magnetic tape material who formed ORRadio Industries. Inc. His company grew to an industrial complex that was eventually sold to Ampex Corporation in 1958.
