The Mayor's Commission for Senior Citizens in Chicago has made a valuable contribution in this key area with a new 28-minute color motion picture. The Rest of Your Life, produced by Gil Altschul Productions. Inc. Not just a picture but an integrated campaign which includes posters and a tie-in booklet, this Pre-retirement Planning Package was premiered to concerned groups on January 26. Four Major Planning Areas The film emphasizes the need for careful planning in four major areas: income, health, housing and new activities. It documents the growing need for the services of retired persons on citizens' commissions and in community organizations and volunteer activities. As the narrator describes says: "Retirement, properly planned, can be anticipated as an opportunity to embark on a second career, a chance to grow in new interests, to find new avenues of creativity, with the knowledge that activity itself is an essential ingredient for successful living. "The greatest gift is time. And a gift of time — for which no payment is expected — is precious indeed."
