ANNUAL C.P.P. GOLF TOURNEYS IN MANITOBA, ONTARIO & QUEBEC August is traditionally the month in which the various branches of the Canadian Picture Pioneers hold their annual golf tournaments, and raise thousands of dollars for their trust fund as well as providing a day’s outing for the entire industry. The Manitoba-Saskatchewan Branch held its tournament on August 11th at the Southwood Golf Club in Winnipeg, the following being named winners in the various categories. GENERAL SOUND TROPHY—Lew Miles...J.M. RICE TROPHY—Lou Termeer... WESTERN THEATRES TROPHY—Don Byers...RAY LEWIS TROPHY—Odeon Theatre team, Don Byers, Ron Wedge and Glen Brodie. In Ontario where the tournament drew nearly 500 industryites, of which number over 250 actually played golf, it was held “at the Cedarbrae Golf and Country Club on Thursday, August 26th.
