AMPIA consists primarily of 20 active member companies — corporations engaged in the production and processing of motion pictures. Associate members are individuals engaged in the arts and crafts of the industry or with a special interest in film & VTR. Corporate affiliate members are firms and institutions with special interests in film (for example, manufacturers and suppliers). A monthly bulletin, in English, goes to members and associates. Seminars and workshops (e.g., the Banff Seminar) are held several times a year; and the association sponsors an annual film festival.
