In Ontario, Tent 28 raised and allocated $1,300,000 during 1978, bringing it close to a total of $3,000,000 for the past three years. Fund-raising projects include an Annual Bike-A-Thon, a Bingo operation, Annual Gourmet Dinner, Film Premieres, and a Golf Toumament, among many others.
The Toronto Blue Jays baseball team have designated Variety Club as their charity, and the Variety Club in Ontario is host to an annual ‘“‘Baseball’s Back In Town”’ dinner on the eve of opening day. There are now twenty-one Variety Sunshine Vans in operation in Ontario, which are custom-built according to the disability of the children to be transported.

Tent 47 provides funds to help handicapped and under-privileged children throughout the province. It has already raised $3,000,000 of a projected five million dollars towards the building of a thirty million dollar Children’s Hospital and Diagnostic Treatment Centre in Vancouver.
