Out of 103 entries in 1981, 90 were eligible for competition. Twelve Award winners received plaques donated by Friends of the Festival. Hunter August 15-21, 1982 (inclusive) A 7-day competitive festival AWARDS & FESTIVALS Aims and Scope — The Banff Television Festival is an annual competitive event dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the world’s leading television films and programs. It provides film and television professionals with an opportunity to attend and participate in a series of seminars and workshops conducted by acknowledged authorities from around the world. It is a place where film and television professionals can do business in a relaxed, informal atmosphere. Awards and Prizes — Entries in the various categories will be judged by an international jury.
