Editors: Dan Krendel (1971-76), Patricia Thompson (1977-85)

Canadian Film Digest Year Book (1971-85) incorporated the Canadian professional film directory and was the annual handbook for Canadian Film Digest (1971-77), owned and published by Nat Taylor’s Film Publications of Canada, Ltd. Like the Digest’s continuation of Canadian Film Weekly (1942-70), the Digest Year Book continued the Canadian Film Weekly Year Book (1951-70). Initially edited by Dan Krendel, then Patricia Thompson, the Digest Year Book continued to 1986, a full decade after the Digest itself ceased publication. Thompson then purchased the business from Taylor and reincorporated as Cine-Communications, Inc., renaming the annual Film Canada Yearbook (1986-2007).

Jephcott (416) 922-4038 Directors: Michael Hadley, Vivienne Leebosh, Peter O’Brian CAMPP was incorporated federally in 1973 to promote and foster the production of motion pictures in Canada; to develop and promote the interests of producers; and to provide its membership with technical and other information for the improvement of their knowledge, work and status. Membership is voluntary and is comprised of individuals whose activities represent the overwhelming majority of feature length motion pictures produced in Canada. Annual membership dues are $250.00 per individual at present and each member pays a production levy with respect to each film in which he performs a producing function. All members are Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Canada and have performed the function of a producer on at least one feature length motion picture. The members elect the Board of seven directors annually and these directors become the officers of the Association. The Association has no full time staff nor is any member compensated for his services to the Association. Members are active on several standing committees including feature film co-productions, pay television, taxation, securities regulation, industry relations, marketing, professional development and education, and sundry others.
