Nathanson, Managing Director of the Famous Players Can-adian Corp., has made the ‘following ‘interesting announcement introducing anew policy in the directorship of ~the company with which. he is asso_ ciated : . | <“Effective with the New Year I have pleasure in announcing the ap-pointment of an Executive Commit_tee which will assist in the general operations of the Corporation’s business and its subsidiaries. This Executive Board will consist of Mr. T. J. Bragg, Mr. Arthur Cohen, Mr. H. M. Thomas, Mr. C. Robson, Mr. John Arthur-and Mr. H. Sedgwick. Each member of the Executive Committee will have a division and a department to look after. — Mr. H. M. Thomas will, in addition to his duties as Western Division ‘Manager, have complete charge of the advertising and exploitation department, and the editing and publishing of the Capitol News. It is the inten“tion to reorganize this department to bring direct to the various managers and theatres new ideas for newspaper and special advertising and exploitation, and it is expected that this department will be far-reaching in its value. Mr. C. Robson will continue in charge of the Fastern Division, including the theatres in Montreal and the East, as well as the various thea_ tres which have been under his direction in Ontario. Mr. Robson will devote considerable time to the developing of new theatres throughout the Eastern territory. Mr. H. Sedgwick will continue in direct charge of the Tivoli Theatre, ‘Toronto, as well as a number of other theatres over which he has had general supervision, and assist Mr. Robson in the general direction of the Eastern Division. Mr. T. J. Bragg will have the Department of Finance and Purchasing, as well as all general details in connection with the revenue and expenses, controlled at the Home Office. This is a most important department and with the installation of sound in our larger theatres, the building of the program and the selection of subjects must be centralized and directed from the Home Office and the subjects booked as a complete unit throughout the theatres. Mr. Arthur will have an opportunity of selecting such subjects as will be best fitted to make up a unified program. He will also continue in charge of the Uptown Theatre, Toronto, as heretofore. Every member of the committee has had a distinct place in the organization of this company, and it is fully realized by myself that it is only with the help of such able colleagues that the business has been able to attain the success that it has reached. The Committee will meet with me when I am in the citv at regular times to function and decide the various policies and to continue in as able a manner as possible the successful operations of the company.
