Monty Hall, Radio and Television star, was presented with the 1953 Variety Tent, 28, Toronto, Heart Award, on April 27th, at the Variety gathering of members, in the Fiesta Room, of the Prince George Hotel. The Heart Award is a Special Annual Award, presented for conspicuous and outstanding Humanitarian Effort. This is the first time, that the Toronto Tent of Variety has made the presenfation fo an acfor. Mr. Reuben Bolstad, Past-Chief Barker made the presentation on behalf of the members to Monty Hall, who has Emceed benefit shows for Variety, staged shows for Variety, making trips frequently with performers to theatres out of Toronto, thereby, raising a considerable sum of money for Variety Village.
