UA’s ‘Johnny Come Lately’ Offers Cagney in Popular Role age long-awaited personal production of Jimmy Cagney, made with his brother William, is now being offered by United Artists. In it Jimmy is once again a tough guy with a heart of gold—which is how the public loves him. The Academy Winner is supported by one of the finest actresses of the day, Grace George, and Marjorie Main is responsible for most of the comedy. Marjorie Lord, Hattie WN aniel and Edward McNamara and some interesting new faces round out the film in fine fashion. “Johnny Come Lately” is largely a sentimental drama with general appeal which has some fine action scenes.
