Vancouver’s State Theatre, formerly the Royal, was re-opened recently after being completely rebuilt and remodelled, and fitted out with the best available sound equipment. It.is now showing double features and special re vivals. The State is the first of a number of theatre projects in Vancouver under the management of Hy Singer. Irwin Named Editor Of Maclean's Mag W. Arthur Irwin has been appointed editor of Maclean’s Magazine, as of Novemer Ist, it was announced recently. Irwin succeeds H. Napier Moore, editor since 1926, who becomes full-time editorial director of the Maclean-Hunter Publishing Company’s 32 national magazines and business newspapers.
