Such films, which will include a United Nations newsreel in 16 mm., will be produced by the UN committee in co-operation with established film companies in the United States and other countries and it can be assumed that Canada’s National Film Board will help. Most subjects will be distributed to schools, churches and civic groups, while others will be through commercial channels. Benoit Levy, chairman of the Provisional Committee, said that his group, which includes representatives of the International Labor Organization, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, and -the Food and Agricultural Organization, had drawn up a draft agreement for a proposed United Nations Film Board and that this had been approved by the UN Public Information Department, the Secretariat of the Preparatory Commission of UNESCO and other agencies for submission to the Secretary General of UN and the director general of UNESCO, when the latter is ap pointed.
