Jack Trotter of the Victoria Theatre, is now treasurer at the Imperial Theatre. William Faulds has moved from the Imperial to the post of assistant manager at the Tivoli Theatre and Mrs. Irene Moorehouse formerly Len Bishop’s assistant at the Tivoli, has been appointed assistant to Russ McKibbin at the Victoria. Foto-Nite Purchases Vancouver Theatre Operation of the MHollyburn Theatre, West Vancouver, was taken over recently by Foto-Nite Amateur Shows Limited and Johnnie Barnes, brother of the president of the firm, has been named manager. Purchase of the theatre had been made some time previously by Foto-Nite from H. J. Fletcher. New sound equipment, projectors and seats will be installed in the 444-seat theatre and extensive alteration and complete redecoration is planned by the company. Hey, Hye! Stop the Press! Singer bought the auditorium last November for a figure said to be $80,000 from Lester Patrick, hockey mogul. Power Lack Closes Three PEI Theatres The three theatres in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, the Capitol, Prince Edward and Empire, were forced to close due to the temporary shortage of power in the island capital while the steam turbine generating most of the city’s electricity was undergoing necessary repairs.
