and for a period not less than three months, the applicant therefor shall be charged such proportion only of the licence fee as the number of days remaining between the date of his licence and the 31st day of December bears to the licence fee for the whole year. Provided also that no rebate shall be allowed if the applicant for a licence has permitted public performances or other entertainments to be held in the theatre for which the licence is required prior to the date of his provincial licence. In the case of a building only occasionally used as a theatre, a licence to cover such occasion may be issued upon payment of a licence fee of $5 per day or $25 per week. DRIVE-IN THEATRES For each Drive-in theatre situated: (a) within a radius of 10 miles of any city having a population of over 10,000, $50 per month or a maximum of $250 per season. (b) within a radius of 10 miles of any city having a population of less than 10,000, $30 per month or a maximum of $150 per season. (c) in other locations not specifically provided for in (a) or (b) above, $10 per month, or a maximum of $50 per season. PRINCE EDWARD ISLAND Imposed Under The Amusement Tax Act The annual fee is $2 for residents, imposed under the Amusement Tax Act and $30 for nonresident operators and $300 for each chain theatre, imposed under ‘'An Act to Provide for the Licensing and Registration of Certain Corporations or Persons."'
