We use Optical Character Recognition (OCR) during our scanning and processing workflow to make the content of each page searchable. You can view the automatically generated text below as well as copy and paste individual pieces of text to quote in your own work.

Text recognition is never 100% accurate. Many parts of the scanned page may not be reflected in the OCR text output, including: images, page layout, certain fonts or handwriting.

THE TWO SECTIONS TITLE SECTION This section furnishes a complete alphabetical list by title, composer and artist. Bold-face type is used for the alphabetical listing; the reverse side of the record appears in light-face type. Under composers and artists only one side of a single record is listed. You'll find a very helpful feature in the complete listing of each album's contents. For example "Piano Music of Debussy," appearing under P, will have each composition title listed under it. IF YOU KNOW A TUNE from a film, but don't know its name, turn to the section marked MO¬ TION PICTURES; find the respective film and each recorded tune will be listed under it. Musical Shows and Operettas are grouped together under MUSICAL SHOWS. Follow the same procedure used for Motion Pictures. IF YOU KNOW THE WORK is a Sonata, Sym¬ phony, Concerto, Fugue, Prelude, Quartet, Trio, Overture, or Suite, you will find an alphabetical iisting under each of these categories; the spe¬ cial category itself is sub-divided by composers. FOR SPECIAL CLASSIFICATIONS such as Folk Music, Sacred Music, Dramatic Readings, Ballet Music, Tone Poems, Chamber Music, Christmas Music, Vocal Music, or Negro Spirituals, look for them under their respective alphabetical listings; there is a complete cross reference list of all these recordings. FOR SPECIAL RECORDS such as Children's, Educational and International Records, there is a full listing under the respective group. IF YOU DESIRE RECORDS FROM THE HIS¬ TORIC GOLDEN AGE OF OPERA, turn to HERI¬ TAGE SERIES; there you will find a complete list of RCA Victor Red Seal De Luxe Records on which are reproduced the fabulous voices of yesteryear. RED SEAL SECTION The absence of this section in our last catalog proved how valuable it really was! For years it was used not only as a catalog itself, but also as a source for artists' biographical material. * IF YOU KNOW THE ARTIST'S NAME, turn to its alphabetical position; under the name, alpha¬ betically arranged, is a complete list of his or her recorded compositions. (In this section only one side of the record is listed; the reverse side is mentioned in its proper position.) UP-TO-DATE BIOGRAPHIES of exclusive Red Seal recording artists head their respective rec¬ ord listings.
