Ma RCA VICTOR RED SEAL RECORDS Ma MacDONALD, JEANETTE, Soprano (Continued) until Hollywood confirmed her position in the hearts of the public with a long series of fabulously successful motion pictures including "Naughty Marietta," "Rose Marie" and "Maytime." During all these musical comedy and film years, Miss MacDonald worked daily at her singing, languages and repertoire for her ultimate goal — that of the concert stage. In the early forties, she entered the operatic phase of her career. After ten appearances in Canada as Juliet, she was engaged by the Chicago Opera Company where she also appeared as Marguerite in "Faust." Miss MacDonald now makes regular operatic as well as concert appearances in this city. Her recording activities are varied and colorful. They encompass programs which run the gamut from operatic and concert songs to folk ballads and popular tunes of the day. Recently a new phase of her talent was revealed with her charming children's album, "Cinderella." AH!
