Born of an old, distinguished family, Soffa Del Campo was sent at an early age to the National Conservatory ofgMusic in Chile for study, and thence to Germany at the expense of the government. Upon completing her studies she immediately established herself as a favorite on both the operatic and concert stages, since which time she has captivated audiences in the principal cities of three continents. Her voice has a texture of dramatic verve that is at once satisfying and wholly enthralling. THE DEL CAMPO RECORDS No. Size List p. A Roman by birth, at the age of thirteen his talent for singing was brought to the attention of Bartolini, the famous baritone and teacher. The boy then showed indications of musical feeling in marked degree, and his voice at that time was of the distinctive baritone quality. Fearing a possible change in it, though, it was not until some two years later that de Luca entered the Conservatory. of Santa Cecilia in Rome, where he studied for five years before making his début in “Faust.” He spent eight winter seasons in the famous La Scala, then extended his career to the New World. Mr. de Luca’s name will always be associated, in musical history, with the great artists of his generation. It does not always happen that even a great artist is so assiduous in his search after perfection. He has not, like so many, relied too much on his great natural gifts. The result is apparent in every phrase he sings. THE DE LUCA RECORDS (Sung in Italian unless otherwise noted) No. Size List p. Aida—Ciel! Mio Padre (Heav’n!
