He is collared and led around the corner and into a waiting automobile. Wonder, fear, and astonishment play across his face as the car drives up to a large mansion. He is escorted to the door. The Kid and his newly found mother greet him warmly. The policeman shakes hands with him and leaves. The mother invites him in, and the picture fades out as the Tramp is being escorted into the house.
